Job summary

EDGE Group in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Platform Reliability Engineer to join our hybrid multi-cloud platform. You will focus on automation, resilience, recoverability, and operational excellence as we migrate from VMware to modern cloud technologies.

Expect to automate complex tasks, validate backups with Rubrik, run DR testing, and improve observability and incident response across the platform, leveraging Nutanix and public cloud. Strong scripting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years in enterprise infrastructure or platform engineering.
• Experience with Nutanix, VMware, public cloud platforms, and backup/recovery tech.
• Strong automation skills using PowerShell, Python, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliability, performance, and recoverability of platform services.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery testing and recovery assurance.
• Support migrations from VMware to modern cloud platforms.
• Develop automation to reduce operational effort and improve service reliability.
• Improve observability, monitoring, and readiness across the platform.
