Job summary

The University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) invites qualified academics and industry professionals to join the School of Engineering as Adjunct Lecturers and Adjunct Tutors for Autumn 2026, running from 21 September to 15 December 2026.

We seek educators with expertise in Engineering Mathematics, Statistics, Geotechnical and Civil Engineering to support undergraduate subject delivery, with eligible candidates holding a Master's or PhD and prior teaching or training experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or related discipline
• Experience in university teaching, tutoring, lab instruction, or professional training
• Strong subject expertise in one or more of the advertised disciplines
• Passion for teaching and supporting student success

The University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) is inviting applications from qualified academics and industry professionals to join the School of Engineering as Adjunct Lecturers and Adjunct Tutors for Autumn 2026 starting from 21 September to 15 December 2026.

We are seeking passionate educators with expertise in Engineering Mathematics, Statistics, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and related disciplines to support the delivery of undergraduate engineering subjects.

We are currently recruiting adjunct faculty for subjects including:

• Geomechanics (CIVL361)
• Differential Equations (MATH291)
• Elements of Engineering Mathematics (MATH042)
• Introduction to Statistics (STAT040)

These subjects form a critical part of our accredited engineering programs and provide students with the mathematical, analytical, and technical foundations required for professional engineering practice.

We welcome applications from candidates with:

• A Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a closely related discipline
• Previous university teaching, tutoring, laboratory instruction, or professional training experience
• Strong subject expertise in one or more of the advertised disciplines
• A passion for teaching and supporting student success

Industry experience is highly regarded, particularly in:

• Civil & Geotechnical Engineering
• Applied Mathematics
• Data Analytics & Statistics

Eligibility Requirement: Adjunct appointments are part-time and do not include visa sponsorship. Applicants must hold a valid UAE residency visa and be legally eligible to undertake part-time employment in the UAE.
