We are seeking a passionate educator with expertise in Geotechnical Engineering, Soil Mechanics, Rock Mechanics, or Ground Engineering to deliver undergraduate teaching in a core Civil Engineering subject. The successful candidate will contribute to developing students' understanding of soil and rock behaviour and their application to real-world geotechnical engineering problems.
About the Subject
CIVL361 – Geomechanics introduces students to the principles of soil and rock mechanics and their application in geotechnical engineering. Topics include:
The subject combines theoretical understanding with practical laboratory applications, preparing students for professional practice in civil and geotechnical engineering.

The University offers adjunct lecturers at undergraduate level a compensation of AED 9,000 per lecture and AED 6,000 per tutorial per trimester. This covers teaching, grading and providing subject consultation for students. The University is located in Knowledge Park, Dubai and has excellent teaching, learning and research facilities as well as a Library that meets international standards.
Eligibility Notice: Adjunct appointments do not include visa sponsorship. Applicants must hold a valid UAE residency visa and be legally eligible to undertake part-time employment in the UAE.
