Your mission

As a Project Development Lead at Green Capital, you will serve as the technical leader driving the development of renewable energy projects from concept to Ready-to-Build (RTB) status, focusing on the permitting process.

A solid technical and business understanding of the permitting & development process in RES is crucial; we welcome candidates with local experience and a willingness to learn about other markets in the region.

Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Supporting and guiding the team through all stages of project development, from greenfield to RTB, with a focus on land assessment, permitting, and technical feasibility.
2. Leveraging your expertise in renewable energy (solar, wind, and energy storage) to ensure smooth project execution and overcome challenges.
3. Sharing your knowledge and providing technical support to team members, empowering them to effectively manage and deliver projects in international markets.

Role Description

1. Drive and lead renewable energy (RES) processes, mostly through the permitting stage.
2. Help recruit, collaborate with, and lead a team of 5-15 technical and administrative specialists based locally and abroad in various locations.
3. Analyze the renewable energy landscape in selected markets.
4. Establish partnerships and foster collaboration with local stakeholders.
5. Oversee RES projects in cooperation with local & foreign partners, and the development office in Poland.
6. Actively contribute to the growth and development of the company.

Requirements

1. Minimum 3 years of experience in RES project documentation (all stages to RTB).
2. Experience with the permitting process for RES projects, including contacts with local administration.
3. Strong knowledge of the RES industry (with a focus on large-scale PV and wind projects), and experience with hydrogen projects as a plus.
4. Proficiency in English, both written and oral.
5. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
6. Entrepreneurial mindset with strong organizational skills.
7. Ability to work across time zones and flexibility to work outside standard hours.

Ideally, You Will Have:

1. Managerial/leadership experience in project development or management.
2. Experience working in or with a remote team.
3. Understanding of cultural differences in international markets.
4. Willingness to travel occasionally for business.
5. Driving License.

We are the pioneer of the photovoltaic market in Poland, where we were among the first to build photovoltaic farms back in 2015.

In 2019, we reached a 4% market share in large-scale photovoltaic farms, becoming the leader in the sector of farms with a capacity of more than 1 MW.
