In South Africa, most of our business is in the Mining and Metals sector, with expanding interests in Oil and Gas and Food and Beverage.

As a Principal, you will play a key role in shaping dss+'s future. You will deliver sustainable solutions to top clients across various markets and industries, gaining credibility as a leader in our field. You will influence our operations and go-to-market strategies.

You will develop and maintain strategic relationships with existing and prospective clients at the C-suite level across Sub-Saharan Africa, understanding their business challenges and identifying opportunities for our services.

Selling and business development are integral to the Principal role, so a passion for growth and client engagement is essential.

You will challenge leadership, question assumptions, and innovate to deepen client relationships and expand our value proposition beyond current offerings.

You should think like an owner, seeking to expand our services into new industries and markets, and contribute to developing intellectual capital such as white papers and point-of-view documents.

You will enhance the firm’s reputation by participating in industry networks and sharing best practices.

You will lead project teams, oversee quality, and mentor colleagues to build their capabilities and deliver greater value to clients.

More specifically, you will:

• Lead the execution of strategic plans and grow a diversified pipeline within target industries.
• Manage client relationships to position dss+ as a trusted partner and pursue new business opportunities.
• Oversee multiple complex consulting engagements, ensuring deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
• Participate in industry networks to share and develop best practices.
• Mentor junior staff to support their professional development.
• Continuously acquire new skills and expertise to stay relevant and competitive.
