A dynamic software company in South Africa is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join their team. This full-time remote position requires 7+ years of experience in software development, strong knowledge of the SDLC, and excellent communication skills. You will manage business requirements, ensure solutions align with client needs, and maintain documentation. Preferred candidates will have formal qualifications in Business Analysis or Agile methodologies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years working as a Business Analyst in a software development environment.
• Solid knowledge and experience of the SDLC.
• Previous exposure to Agile Methodologies such as Scrum.

Responsibilities

• Accountability for business requirements and ensuring solutions meet these requirements.
• Document both requirements and solutions and maintain such documentation.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships both internally and externally.

As a Business Analyst, what do you do?

You take accountability for business requirements and ensuring that the solutions developed meet these requirements. You understand and can contribute to systems solution design. You can document both requirements and solutions and maintain such documentation. You get to build and maintain strong client relationships both internally and externally.

Must Have:

• Applicant must be based in Cape Town or surrounds
• Retail Industry Experience
• Ecommerce Experience
• 7+ years working as a Business Analyst in a software development environment
• Solid knowledge and experience of the SDLC
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Previous exposure to Agile Methodologies such as Scrum
• Basic data querying experience using SQL
• Experience with integration protocols and API's
• The availability to travel to clients for meetings if/when requiredGrade 12 Certificate or equivalent N3
• Own transport

Not required, but preference will be given to applicants with:

• Formal Business/Systems Analysis qualification(s)
• Formal Scrum or Agile qualification(s)
• Formal IT-related qualification

You should know:

This is a full‑time remote work position. There may be occasions where you might be required to meet for workshops at our Head Office in Parklands or travel to clients. Working remotely means that you need to be online during work hours, also during load shedding, and have access to good quality video and audio equipment (web cam, headset, etc.)
