An established asset management firm in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant to join their Finance team on a 6‑month contract.
This role requires strong technical expertise and offers meaningful exposure within a professional, fast‑paced environment.

- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Manage core accounting processes, including payments, fees, the general ledger, and account reconciliations
- Support intercompany activities by coordinating with internal teams
- Monitor and analyse financial data, flagging discrepancies where necessary
- Prepare or assist with financial reports, departmental budgets, and annual financial statements
- Assist with company tax preparation
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and guidelines
- Solid understanding of IFRS and accounting principles
- Strong Excel skills; experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Great Plains is an advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a Postgraduate Diploma or Honours (or similar)
- Completed articles or 3–5 years’ relevant experience within the financial sector
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Proactive, organised, and able to take ownership of tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working in a pressurised environment
