Based in Pietermaritzburg, the Marketing Coordinator will implement and coordinate various marketing functions including communications, advertising, website management, branding, digital marketing, and social media. The role involves aligning marketing efforts with business goals, improving processes and content, and generating leads. The coordinator will liaise with Segment Leads, the Sales Manager, and the COO.

The primary goal is to increase awareness to drive sales. The coordinator will develop and execute marketing strategies, serve as the Business Development Manager’s support, stay informed on market trends, and support branding and advertising initiatives. Daily tasks include drafting reports, creating and coordinating content, tracking results, building relationships with sales teams, and managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.

1. Conduct research to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and the competitive landscape; prepare reports summarizing findings.
2. Implement and manage the Deep Customer Understanding Process to gather insights into target audience needs and challenges.
3. Develop, implement, and manage the company’s brand strategy to enhance recognition and trust in the industry.
4. Maintain and update sales support materials, ensuring resources are current; coordinate the creation of new materials as needed.
5. Research new sources of prospective customer data and recommend strategies to sales and marketing leadership.
6. Communicate campaign objectives, timelines, and deliverables to the sales team, providing necessary instructions.
7. Plan and coordinate meetings, events, conferences, advertising campaigns, and trade shows, including requirements, schedules, and mailing lists.
8. Manage administration, inventory, and control of marketing materials.
9. Present and promote products effectively to both existing and prospective customers.
