THE JOB AT A GLANCE
Reporting into the Special Projects Actuary, the Actuarial Analyst will be primarily responsible for executing strategic actuarial projects under general supervision.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Development and pricing of strategic products and services.
- Build and optimize pricing and quotation systems in conjunction with Product, Quotes, and IT Teams.
- Optimize processes, systems, and tools used by the actuarial division.
- Assist in launching special projects in cross-functional and collaborative team settings.
- Support the Special Projects Actuary in analysis and presentations.
- Perform data analysis, modeling, reporting, and documentation related to actuarial duties.
- Build and maintain dashboards for actuarial reporting.
- Provide strategic support to product development, pricing, and valuation teams.
- Collaborate with the Investment team to optimize Liability Driven Investment processes.
- Respond promptly to actuarial queries.
- Build good relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Ensure effective reporting and assessment of problem areas.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Participate in ad hoc projects.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE?
- Actuarial degree; degrees in Statistics, Mathematics, & Data Science will also be considered.
- Progress towards actuarial exams – at least 3-5 Technical Actuarial Exams.
- 2-4 years of experience.
- Previous experience in life and short-term insurance company valuation or insurance risk management would be advantageous.
