Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Youth Mentor and Support Worker to empower local youth in Port Elizabeth. You will provide one-on-one guidance, facilitate engaging life-skills programs, and help young people shape educational pathways and career aspirations.

You will collaborate with families, schools, and community partners, maintain confidential records of progress, model healthy behaviors, and support youths with empathy, patience, and empowering mentorship.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Youth Development, Social Work, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working directly with youth in a support or mentorship capacity.
• Demonstrated understanding of adolescent development and challenges faced by young people.
• Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build rapport and trust with diverse youth populations in Port Elizabeth.
