Job summary

Placements24 in Randburg, Gauteng seeks a Community Program Facilitator to deliver youth-focused workshops and activities, building skills and confidence in participants. The role combines planning at a central hub with hands-on community delivery to drive positive social change.

You will guide sessions, foster inclusive environments, assess needs, and track progress while collaborating with a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilitation, training, teaching, youth work, or community development.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong group management and presentation skills.
• Ability to develop and deliver engaging content.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
• Familiarity with the Randburg, Gauteng community is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Basic administrative skills for record-keeping.
• Flexible availability to accommodate program schedules, including some evenings or weekends.
• Relevant qualification in education, social sciences, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging workshops and program activities for community members, particularly youth.
• Facilitate group discussions, team-building exercises, and skill-development sessions.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all participants.
• Assess participant needs and adapt program delivery accordingly.
• Monitor participant progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with the program team to develop and refine curriculum and materials.
• Maintain accurate records of participant attendance and engagement.
• Represent the organization positively within the Randburg community.
• Assist in organizing community outreach events and information sessions.
• Provide basic support and guidance to participants as needed.
