West Coast Personnel in Stellenbosch invites applications for a hands-on Yard Foreman to oversee daily yard operations, stock control, dispatch activities and staff supervision. The successful candidate will be organised, reliable and capable of managing a busy yard, ensuring stock accuracy, safe working practices and timely order preparation, with forklift experience and ERP familiarity.

A valid forklift licence is preferred, and training to Sage or SAP may be offered to support ongoing stock

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in manufacturing, warehouse, yard or dispatch.
• At least 1 year of staff supervision experience.
• Forklift licence or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Experience in building materials, bricks, paving or tiles advantageous.
• ERP system experience (Sage, SAP or similar) advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Supervise yard staff, forklift operators and general workers.
• Oversee daily yard operations, loading and dispatch.
• Ensure customer orders are prepared accurately and on time.
• Manage stock receiving, storage and movements.
• Conduct regular stock counts and year-end stocktakes.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and minimise breakages.
• Maintain yard housekeeping, equipment and safety standards.
• Coordinate with sales, dispatch and transporters.
• Maintain accurate stock records and daily operational reports.
