Job summary

West Coast Personnel in Stellenbosch invites applications for a hands-on Yard Foreman to oversee daily yard operations, stock control, dispatch activities and staff supervision. The successful candidate will be organised, reliable and capable of managing a busy yard, ensuring stock accuracy, safe working practices and timely order preparation, with forklift experience and ERP familiarity.

A valid forklift licence is preferred, and training to Sage or SAP may be offered to support ongoing stock

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in manufacturing, warehouse, yard or dispatch.
• At least 1 year of staff supervision experience.
• Forklift licence or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Experience in building materials, bricks, paving or tiles advantageous.
• ERP system experience (Sage, SAP or similar) advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise yard staff, forklift operators and general workers.

• Ensure customer orders are prepared accurately and on time.
• Manage stock receiving, storage and movements.
• Conduct regular stock counts and year-end stocktakes.

An established manufacturing company is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Yard Foreman to oversee daily yard operations, stock control, dispatch activities and staff supervision.
The successful candidate must be organised, reliable and capable of managing a busy yard environment while ensuring stock accuracy, efficient order preparation and safe working practices.
Key Responsibilities
