Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proficient Wireless Network Specialist in Paarl to design, implement and maintain our wireless infrastructure across sites. You will manage Wi‑Fi, cellular and related networks, ensuring secure and high-performing connectivity for all users.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of wireless network experience, deep knowledge of 802.11 standards, and relevant CWNA/CWNP/CCNA Wireless certifications. This role offers on-site work with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of wireless network design, implementation, and support.
• Strong knowledge of Wi‑Fi standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax), RF, and security protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, and maintain wireless network infrastructure including APs and controllers.
• Monitor wireless performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliability.

You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Wi-Fi, cellular, and other wireless networks. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of wireless technologies, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to maintaining high network performance standards. You will play a key role in ensuring seamless communication across all company locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, and maintain wireless network infrastructure, including access points, controllers, and related hardware.
• Monitor wireless network performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal speed and reliability.
• Implement and manage wireless security protocols (WPA2/3, RADIUS) to protect the network from unauthorized access.
• Troubleshoot complex wireless connectivity problems for end-users and systems.
• Stay current with emerging wireless technologies and recommend improvements to the existing infrastructure.

Requirements
