Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Wireless Network Engineer in Benoni for a hybrid role balancing on-site and remote work. You will design, implement, optimize, and troubleshoot advanced wireless networks across Gauteng to ensure secure, high-performance connectivity.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in wireless design and hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki, Aruba, or Ruckus, along with solid knowledge of 802.11 standards and RF principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum of 6 years of wireless network engineering/design experience.
• Deep knowledge of Wi-Fi standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax) and RF principles.
• Hands-on with enterprise wireless solutions (Cisco Meraki, Aruba, Ruckus).
• Proficiency with wireless diagnostic tools and site survey software.
• Strong understanding of wireless network security concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise wireless networks across multiple locations.
• Conduct site surveys and spectrum analysis for optimal AP placement.
• Troubleshoot complex wireless issues including connectivity and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-level wireless networks (Wi-Fi, cellular, etc.) across multiple locations.
• Conduct site surveys and spectrum analysis to identify optimal placement and configuration for wireless access points.
• Troubleshoot complex wireless network issues, including connectivity, performance, and security problems.
• Implement and maintain wireless security protocols, such as WPA3, RADIUS, and NAC.
• Monitor wireless network performance and capacity, making recommendations for upgrades and optimizations.
• Collaborate with IT security and infrastructure teams to ensure integrated network solutions.
