Job summary

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• 12 years of work experience preferred.
• Own or reliable transport.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Comfortable engaging with discerning, high-end clientele.
• Well-presented with a professional appearance.
• Willing to work flexible hours.
• Enthusiastic, positive attitude with a "get it done" mindset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and front-of-house areas.
• Clear tables of used glassware, plates and other items throughout service.
• Run platters from the kitchen to the lounge for service.
• Assist the lounge cook with plating, glass polishing and dishwashing.
• Collect and replace water bottles.
• Empty bins before and after service.
• Keep kitchen fridges fully stocked.
• Set up outdoor tables each morning.
• Polish spittoons and ensure displays are fresh and eye-catching.
• Deliver the estates signature standard of guest service.
• Build strong knowledge of the estates wines and guest experience.
• Solve problems proactively to ensure every guest enjoys an exceptional visit.
