Job summary

Rhodes University in Makhanda invites applications for a Staff Wellness Officer (Grade 11) in the People and Culture Division. The role focuses on coordinating the wellness strategy, managing the service provider, and communicating available interventions to staff.

You will ensure activities stay within budget and provide back-up support to Remuneration and Benefits. A strong background in wellness, data handling and counselling is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in staff wellness programs and initiatives.
• Experience coordinating wellness initiatives and activities.
• PM experience or high level of organisation and coordination.
• At least 2 years using spreadsheets, especially Excel (Advanced Excel advantageous).
• At least 1 year of data analysis, interpretation and reporting.
• Experience handling large data volumes with high accuracy.
• Counselling or facilitation/training experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement the institutional wellness strategy.
• Manage relationship with wellness service provider.
• Communicate availability of wellness interventions to staff.
• Ensure interventions are within budget.
• Provide back-up support for Remuneration and Benefits Officer.
