Placements24 is seeking a proactive Well Intervention Engineer to join our operations team in Soweto, Gauteng. You will plan, design, and execute well intervention projects, including workovers, completions, and artificial lift installations, while ensuring safety and efficiency across the operating wells.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years in well intervention, workover, or completions engineering within Oil & Gas.
• Proven experience with various well intervention techniques and technologies.
• Strong knowledge of downhole tools, completion equipment, and artificial lift systems.
• Excellent understanding of well control principles and HSE regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design well intervention programs including workover, fishing, and P&A operations.
• Select equipment, tools, and materials for intervention projects.
• Develop execution plans, risk assessments, and cost estimates.
• Supervise wellsite operations with emphasis on safety and efficiency.
• Monitor post-intervention performance and analyze results for optimization.
• Troubleshoot downhole issues and devise solutions for complex challenges.
