Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Well Integrity Engineer in the Paarl area of the Western Cape. The role focuses on ensuring the safety, reliability, and environmental compliance of upstream assets by maintaining well integrity throughout lifecycle.

You will develop and implement WIMS, monitor performance, and work with operations to address integrity issues. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in well engineering, knowledge of industry standards, and a proactive risk-management

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in well engineering, completions, operations, or well integrity.
• Strong understanding of well integrity principles and ISO 16530-1.
• Experience with data management systems for wells.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage well integrity management systems (WIMS).
• Plan and oversee well integrity testing, inspections and monitoring.
• Analyze integrity data from tests and logs.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation actions.
• Provide technical guidance to drilling, completions, and operations teams.
• Review designs and procedures to ensure integrity compliance.
• Investigate failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of integrity assurance.
