Placements24 is seeking a qualified Well Integrity Engineer to join the Upington team in the Northern Cape, ZA. This on-site role focuses on safeguarding long-term well integrity across the lifecycle, including risk assessments and maintenance programs.

The ideal candidate will have a Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering background and at least 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector, with hands-on expertise in well construction, completion, and intervention technologies.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in well integrity, operations or related discipline in Oil & Gas.
• Strong knowledge of well construction, completion and intervention technologies.
• Familiarity with API/ISO standards and local regulations on well integrity.
• Experience applying risk assessment methodologies to well integrity.

Mansioni

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Well Integrity Management System (WIMS) in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Conduct regular risk assessments (e.g., HAZID, FMEA) on well systems to identify potential failure modes and implement mitigation strategies.
• Plan and oversee well integrity testing and inspections, including pressure testing, P&V valve testing, and casing inspection programs.
• Analyze well integrity data and performance trends to ensure wells are operating within safe limits.
• Manage and coordinate well intervention activities (e.g., repairs, modifications) to maintain well integrity.
• Ensure appropriate well design, materials selection, and construction methods are used to achieve long-term integrity.
• Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules for well-critical equipment.
• Provide technical guidance and support to drilling, completion, and operations teams on well integrity matters.
• Maintain accurate records of well integrity status, testing results, and maintenance activities.
• Investigate well integrity incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
