Placements24 is seeking a Well Integrity Engineer for Upington, Northern Cape, to safeguard the long‑term integrity of wells from drilling to abandonment. You will develop WIMS, perform risk assessments, and oversee integrity testing and data analysis in a hybrid work setup.

The role requires a strong background in well construction and downhole equipment, familiarity with API/ISO standards, and the ability to collaborate across drilling, completions, and production teams to prevent integrity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline relevant to oil and gas.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in well integrity engineering within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong understanding of well construction, downhole equipment, and completion technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage Well Integrity Management Systems (WIMS).
• Conduct risk assessments and integrity reviews for wells.
• Oversee routine well integrity testing, monitoring, and data analysis.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant well integrity regulations, codes, and company standards.
• Plan and supervise well integrity‑related interventions and repairs.
• Review and approve well design and completion programs from an integrity perspective.
• Manage well integrity documentation and reporting.
• Collaborate with drilling, completions, and production teams to ensure a proactive approach to well integrity.
• Participate in incident investigations related to well integrity failures.
