Placements24 is seeking a Well Integrity Engineer for Upington, Northern Cape, to safeguard the long‑term integrity of wells from drilling to abandonment. You will develop WIMS, perform risk assessments, and oversee integrity testing and data analysis in a hybrid work setup.

The role requires a strong background in well construction and downhole equipment, familiarity with API/ISO standards, and the ability to collaborate across drilling, completions, and production teams to prevent integrity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline relevant to oil and gas.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in well integrity engineering within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong understanding of well construction, downhole equipment, and completion technologies.

About the Role

Our client, a key player in the Oil & Gas exploration and production domain, is seeking a highly competent Well Integrity Engineer to join their team in Upington, Northern Cape . This crucial role is responsible for ensuring the long‑term integrity and reliability of all wells throughout their lifecycle, from drilling and completion to abandonment. The Well Integrity Engineer will develop and implement well integrity management systems (WIMS), conduct risk assessments, and oversee routine integrity checks and maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of well construction, downhole equipment, well testing, and relevant industry standards and regulations.
