Job summary

Kabstrading Co in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, is seeking a skilled welder and fabricator to join our fabrication team. The role focuses on manufacturing gates, fencing components and security-fencing elements to exact specifications, using MIG welding and steel fabrication techniques.

You will measure, mark, cut, fit and assemble steel pieces, read drawings and job cards, and ensure finished work meets alignment and weld quality standards while maintaining a safe, tidy workshop.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and fabricate gates to approved dimensions, specifications and job requirements.
• Fabricate fencing components, brackets, supports and related steelwork.
• Manufacture razor wire brackets and associated security-fencing components.
• Perform general MIG welding and steel fabrication.
• Measure, mark, cut, fit and assemble steel accurately.
• Read and work from measurements, sketches, job cards and production instructions.
• Check finished work for alignment, weld quality, dimensions and overall workmanship.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools and a safe, orderly fabrication work area.
• Assist with other steel-work manufacturing requirements as operationally required.
