Job summary

Kabstrading Co in Cape Town is seeking a skilled welder/fabricator to join our metal fabrication team. You will manufacture gates, fabricate fencing components, and produce security-fencing parts to exact specifications.

You will perform MIG welding, read drawings, measure and cut, and ensure quality, safety, and tidy work area. This on-site role offers steady work in a busy fabrication shop with opportunities to take on varied steel-work projects.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and fabricate gates to approved dimensions, specifications and job requirements.
• Fabricate fencing components, brackets, supports and related steelwork.
• Manufacture razor wire brackets and associated security-fencing components.
• Perform general MIG welding and steel fabrication.
• Measure, mark, cut, fit and assemble steel accurately.
• Read and work from measurements, sketches, job cards and production instructions.
• Check finished work for alignment, weld quality, dimensions and overall workmanship.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools and a safe, orderly fabrication work area.
• Assist with other steel-work manufacturing requirements as operationally required.
