Kabstrading Co in Johannesburg is seeking a skilled steel fabricator and welder to manufacture gates, fabricating fencing components, and welding with MIG to precise specifications. You will read drawings, measure and cut, and ensure weld quality while maintaining a safe, tidy workshop.

Responsibilities include measuring, marking, cutting, fitting and assembling steel, checking workmanship, and supporting other steel-work production as needed.

• Manufacture and fabricate gates to approved dimensions, specifications and job requirements.
• Fabricate fencing components, brackets, supports and related steelwork.
• Manufacture razor wire brackets and associated security-fencing components.
• Perform general MIG welding and steel fabrication.
• Measure, mark, cut, fit and assemble steel accurately.
• Read and work from measurements, sketches, job cards and production instructions.
• Check finished work for alignment, weld quality, dimensions and overall workmanship.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools and a safe, orderly fabrication work area.
• Assist with other steel-work manufacturing requirements as operationally required.
