Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for our client in Kimberley, Northern Cape. You will design mechanical systems for water and wastewater infrastructure, including pumps, piping, valves, and related equipment.

The role involves creating drawings, specifications, P&IDs, and BOMs, and collaborating with civil, electrical, and control engineers. The ideal candidate has a mechanical engineering degree, 4+ years of relevant experience, and strong CFD/ hydraulics understanding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 4 years of mechanical design experience in water/wastewater or municipal infrastructure.
• Proficiency with CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Inventor) and design software.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems for water and wastewater plants, pumps, piping, valves, and equipment.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, P&IDs, and BOMs using CAD software.
