Placements24 is seeking a motivated Chemical Engineer to join a Paarl-based team focused on designing, implementing, and optimizing chemical processes for water and wastewater treatment. The role involves working on diverse projects to deliver efficient and compliant solutions for industrial and municipal clients.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in water chemistry, treatment processes, and regulatory compliance, with 2–4 years of related experience.
Qualificações
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering
- 2–4 years of process engineering experience in water or wastewater
- Strong understanding of water chemistry and treatment processes
- Experience with chemical dosing systems and control strategies
- Analytical, communication and presentation skills
Responsabilidades
- Design and develop chemical treatment processes for water and wastewater applications.
- Conduct treatability studies and pilot testing to optimize chemical dosages.
- Prepare PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances, and equipment specifications.
- Troubleshoot operational issues at client sites and provide technical support.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permit requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, sales teams, and clients to deliver solutions.
- Monitor performance of installed treatment systems and recommend improvements.
- Stay updated on advancements in water treatment technologies.
