Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer with water treatment expertise to design and optimize treatment systems in Polokwane, Limpopo. The role focuses on process simulation, equipment selection, and performance monitoring for industrial and municipal clients.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant Engineering degree, 4+ years in water/wastewater, and familiarity with membranes. On-site work at client facilities and the Polokwane center is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in chemical process engineering for water/wastewater.
• Strong knowledge of water chemistry and treatment technologies.
• Experience with membrane technologies (RO, UF, NF) is desirable.
• Pr. Eng. registration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer water and wastewater treatment processes.
• Perform mass and energy balances and process simulations.
• Select and specify pumps, filters, membranes, and dosing systems.
• Oversee installation, commissioning and start-up of plants.
• Monitor performance and analyze data for optimization.
• Troubleshoot process issues and implement solutions.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and discharge standards.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and project documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients and construction teams.
