Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment operations.
• Strong knowledge of water chemistry, physical, chemical, and biological treatment processes.
• Familiarity with environmental legislation and discharge permits.
• Experience with water quality monitoring and analytical techniques.
• Proficiency in SCADA systems or process control software is advantageous.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an industrial setting.
• Willingness to work full-time on-site in Soweto.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment plants to meet regulatory standards.
