Placements24 is seeking a Water Resources Engineer for our client in Centurion, Gauteng. The role focuses on planning, design, and management of water and wastewater systems, flood control, and stormwater projects, with a hybrid work arrangement.

You will design hydraulic models, perform hydrological analyses, prepare detailed designs for pipelines and treatment plants, and mentor junior engineers. Pr Eng registration and 6+ years of municipal water experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Water Resources or Environmental Engineering.
• Pr.Eng registration with ECSA is required.
• Minimum 6 years of water resources experience, municipal focus.

Responsibilities

• Design hydraulic models for water supply, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
• Perform hydrological analyses and flood risk assessments.
• Prepare detailed designs for pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs, and treatment plants.
• Support environmental impact assessments and permit processes.
• Provide on-site/remote technical support during construction.
• Coordinate with municipal officials and stakeholders for project success.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Prepare reports and presentations for clients and public consultations.
• Stay updated on water resources engineering developments.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
