Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Warehouse Stock Controller for Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in inventory control, experience with WMS, and strong Excel skills. A high school diploma and a logistics-related certification are advantageous.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in inventory control within a warehouse.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks to verify stock accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
• Monitor stock levels, identify shortages or excesses, and report findings to management.
• Oversee receiving and dispatch processes to ensure proper documentation and data entry.
• Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
• Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and recommend actions.
• Ensure proper storage and handling to prevent damage or loss.
• Generate inventory reports including stock aging, valuation, and turnover rates.
• Collaborate with warehouse team to ensure efficient stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) where applicable.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and vigilant Warehouse Stock Controller to join their expanding operations in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. This pivotal role within the Logistics & Warehousing department is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory data, ensuring that stock levels are precisely managed. The ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of inventory management principles and systems. This position is critical for preventing stockouts, minimizing overstocking, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods through the warehouse. Key Responsibilities

• Strong understanding of inventory control principles, cycle counting, and stocktaking procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be physically capable of moving around the warehouse and performing stock checks.
• Proximity to or willingness to relocate to Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal.
