Placements24 is seeking a proactive Warehouse Shift Supervisor for our Bloemfontein facility. Lead daily shift operations, supervise staff, and ensure safe, efficient receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods.

The role requires 2–3 years in warehousing with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity, strong leadership, and good communication. Flexible shifts and a commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a warehouse, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Understanding of inventory management and safety procedures.
• Familiarity with WMS is an advantage.
• Flexible shifts including evenings, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff during assigned shifts.
• Ensure that all warehouse operations are conducted safely and efficiently, adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Manage the workflow for receiving, storing, order picking, packing, and shipping activities.
• Monitor team performance, provide guidance, and conduct on-the-job training for warehouse associates.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure efficient stock rotation.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce safety regulations within the warehouse.
• Address and resolve operational issues and conflicts that arise during the shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse environment.
• Communicate effectively with other shift supervisors and management regarding operational status and any issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse operations in Bloemfontein.

About the Role

This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and safe execution of all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse processes, excellent leadership capabilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of productivity and accuracy.
