Job summary

FlySafair is seeking a Warehouse Assistant in Johannesburg to support daily operations and inventory control. You will update SAM, prepare shipping docs, and route spares to hangars and outstations.

Requirements include Grade 12, 1–2 years warehousing experience, and a willingness to work shifts. A forklift license and EB/driver's license are advantageous. Own transport and travel readiness complete the profile.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential).
• Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in Warehousing (Essential).
• Forklift license (Advantageous).
• C1/B License (Essential).
• Must have a valid driver's license (EB) (Advantageous).
• Must be willing to work shifts (Essential).
• Willing to travel (Essential).
• Own transport.

Responsibilities

• Assist with weekly cycle counts in any of the warehouses as and when needed.
• Ensure precise record-keeping and filing of all pertinent documentation related to the movement of spare parts.
• Update the stock ERP(SAM) to reflect relevant movements.
• Direct parts to outstations, hangars, and airports where they are required.
• Create documentation for shipping purposes as well as packaging as per Work Instructions.
• (COMAT) Update Flow Centric in accordance with SAM as soon as parts are received or dispatched.
• Deliver spares at all hangars.
• Housekeeping to be done daily.
• Draw and issue spares from main warehouse.
• Attend to all requests for spares sent through via email, phone calls or WhatsApp.
• Carry out general warehouse duties as requested by supervisor.
• Ensure access to warehouse is controlled at all times.
• Carry out ad-hoc tasks as requested by management.
