Job summary

FlySafair is inviting applications for Warehouse General Assistant vacancies at its Head Office. A total of 12 temporary positions are available within the Logistics Department.

The role involves supporting Receiving, Dispatch and Inventory, handling, moving, organizing and storing stock, and ensuring clean, safe warehouse areas. Applicants must have Grade 12, be physically fit, and be willing to work weekends when required.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent is essential
• Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, logistics or stock-handling environment will be an advantage
• Must be physically fit
• Must be able to safely lift and handle items weighing between 20 and 25 kg without assistance
• Must be willing and able to work weekends when required
• Must have reliable transport
• Previous warehouse experience is not listed as an essential requirement

Responsibilities

• Assist Receiving Inspectors with processing outstanding DNU (Do Not Use) stock and segregating stock as instructed
• Verify stock quantities against relevant documentation and prepare/match Certificates of Conformance (CoC) to applicable parts
• Identify and separate relevant parts when a Certificate of Conformance is unavailable
• Move and organise stock within the warehouse
• Pack stock into appropriate racks and storage areas
• Assist the Dispatch team with warehouse organisation
• Maintain clean and safe working areas and follow warehouse procedures
• Use warehouse equipment responsibly
• Perform other reasonable warehouse-related duties as instructed
