Placements24 is seeking an enthusiastic Volunteer Manager to lead our Cape Town volunteer program. You will recruit, train, schedule, and support volunteers, ensuring they have a rewarding experience and contribute effectively to our programs.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and solid HR experience within a non-profit environment. You will collaborate with program staff, manage records, and foster a positive volunteer culture in the Cape Town community.

Qualifications

• Experience in volunteer management or human resources.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Experience in conflict resolution and motivating diverse groups of people.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, non-profit environment.
• Familiarity with volunteer management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies for volunteer recruitment, screening, and onboarding.
• Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for new and existing volunteers.
• Manage volunteer schedules, assignments, and ongoing support.
• Recognize and appreciate volunteer contributions to maintain high morale and retention.
• Liaise with program staff to identify volunteer needs and ensure effective placement.
• Maintain accurate volunteer records and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
