The role requires strong organizational, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills, with experience in HR or program coordination and proficiency with Microsoft Office and databases.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in volunteer management, HR, or program coordination.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with a passion for working with people.
• Experience in conflict resolution and team motivation.
• Familiarity with the Tembisa community and its resources is an asset.
• Proficiency in database management and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end volunteer lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to ongoing support and recognition.
• Develop and implement effective volunteer recruitment strategies to attract diverse individuals.
• Conduct orientation and training sessions for new volunteers, ensuring they understand their roles and the organization's mission.
• Manage volunteer schedules, assignments, and performance, providing constructive feedback.
• Organize volunteer appreciation events and initiatives to foster a sense of community and belonging.
• Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours, contact information, and activities.
