Placements24 is seeking an experienced Volunteer Manager to oversee the George volunteer program in the Western Cape. The role focuses on recruiting, training, and retaining volunteers who support the organization’s services, with a hybrid in-office and community-based work model.

You will lead initiatives to deploy volunteers effectively and measure impact for ongoing improvement. Ideal candidates showcase leadership, strong communication, and a passion for community service within a charity

Qualifications

• Experience in volunteer management, HR or related field.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage diverse groups of individuals.
• Familiarity with volunteer management software is a plus.
• Commitment to the values and mission of the organization in George.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies for recruiting and onboarding volunteers.
• Design and deliver comprehensive training for volunteers.
