About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced VoIP Engineer to join their fully remote team. Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage VoIP systems, including PBX platforms, softswitches, and session border controllers (SBCs).
• Configure and maintain VoIP endpoints, gateways, and related network infrastructure.
• Monitor VoIP network performance, troubleshoot call quality issues, and implement solutions to ensure high‑quality voice communication.
• Implement and manage security measures for VoIP systems to protect against fraud and unauthorized access.
• Develop and maintain documentation for VoIP system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with other network and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration of VoIP services with the broader network infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting VoIP solutions.
• Strong understanding of VoIP protocols such as SIP, H.323, and RTP.
• Experience with major VoIP platforms and vendors (e.g., Asterisk, Cisco Call Manager, FreeSWITCH).
• Proficiency in network troubleshooting and diagnosing issues related to voice quality and connectivity.
