Placements24 is seeking a vibrant and experienced Childminder and Activities Coordinator in George, Western Cape to provide caring supervision, plan age-appropriate activities, and support young children's learning and well-being. The role requires nurturing, reliability, strong communication with parents, planning skills, and First Aid/CPR certification; residency near George preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous childcare experience with excellent references.
• Strong knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities.
• A passion for creating engaging and educational experiences for children.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• First Aid and CPR certification is required.
• Must pass a background check.
• Residency in or near George is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and care for children in a safe and secure environment.
• Plan, organize, and lead age-appropriate educational and recreational activities (arts, crafts, games, outdoor play).
• Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children.
• Assist children with daily routines such as dressing, hygiene, and meal times.
• Maintain tidiness and cleanliness of play areas and belongings.
• Monitor children's behavior and development; provide feedback to parents.
• Ensure emotional and physical well-being of each child.
• Manage schedules for activities and appointments.
• Collaborate with parents to understand children's needs and preferences.
