Placements24 is seeking a warm, organized Childminder and Activity Coordinator to care for two children in Paarl, Western Cape. The role includes safe supervision, planning crafts and games, and supporting daily routines with flexibility for evenings or weekends.

Ideal candidates will have childcare experience, strong communication skills, and a genuine love for helping children grow through creative play and learning.

Qualifications

• Experience in childcare, babysitting, or childminding is essential.
• Ability to plan and lead engaging activities for children.
• Genuine love for children with a patient, creative, energetic personality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• First aid and CPR certification is desirable.
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
• Able to work independently and take initiative.
• Good references from previous childcare roles.
• Based in or able to commute to Paarl, Western Cape.
• Part-time availability with possible evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and safe supervision for two children during specified hours.
• Plan, organize, and lead a diverse range of age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, games, music, and outdoor play.
• Assist with children's daily routines, such as meal times, naps, and light tidying of play areas.
• Prepare simple, healthy snacks and light meals for the children.
• Ensure the children's safety and well-being at all times, adhering to parental guidelines.
• Foster a positive, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the children.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding the children's activities and general well-being.
• Accompany children on local outings and excursions as appropriate.
• Maintain a tidy and organized space used by the children.
