Job summary

Placements24 in Benoni, Gauteng, seeks a lively Childcare Provider and Activity Coordinator for two children aged 5 and 8. The role combines daily caregiving with planning engaging activities, school pickups, homework support, and enrichment outings.

It is primarily on-site with some hybrid planning. You should be energetic, organized, and a positive role model, able to communicate with parents, transport children safely, prepare healthy snacks, and keep the home tidy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience with school-aged children.
• Ability to plan and lead diverse activities for children.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
• Legally eligible to work in South Africa.
• Comfortable using technology for communication and planning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Care for two school-aged children daily.
• Oversee homework completion and provide academic support.
• Plan and lead activities, including games, crafts, sports, and outdoor play.
• Coordinate and transport children to and from school and activities.
• Prepare healthy snacks and light meals.
• Ensure safety and well-being at all times.
• Maintain a tidy and organized environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents about the day and progress.
• Assist with children’s personal care routines as needed.
• Occasionally assist with remote planning sessions for upcoming activities.
