Job summary

Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) in Phoenix is seeking a Team Leader: Utilities with a proven background in operating boiler, HVAC, refrigeration and water systems. You will lead a small team, schedule maintenance, monitor performance, and ensure production continuity and safety compliance.

You will drive condition monitoring, manage CMMS records, coordinate with production and external contractors, and implement energy and resource savings initiatives across the site.

Qualifications

• Minimum: N4–N6 Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
• Preferred: National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Certifications: Trade Test Certificate (Millwright, Fitter, or Electrician) and Boiler Operating Certificate (where applicable).
• Experience: 3–5 years in utilities or plant maintenance.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of utility systems (boiler, compressors, chilled water, HVAC).
• Lead preventive and corrective maintenance activities; document in CMMS.
• Supervise Utilities Operator and Artisan; ensure safe working practices.
• Ensure compliance with OHS Act and safety standards; support inspections.
• Track KPI performance and implement energy/resource savings initiatives.
• Coordinate with production, engineering and external service providers.
