Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mining Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of underground geotechnical engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of rock mechanics and modeling techniques.
Responsibilities
- Conduct geotechnical investigations and rock mass characterization for underground excavations.
- Design and implement ground support systems and stabilization measures.
- Monitor geotechnical performance with instrumentation and field observations.
- Analyze stability of stopes, tunnels, and shafts to assess risk.
- Develop geotechnical risk management strategies in mining operations.
- Provide technical guidance to mining teams on geotechnical matters.
