Placements24 seeks a Civil Engineer to join a respected civil engineering firm in Port Elizabeth, focusing on road networks and transportation infrastructure in the Eastern Cape. The role involves planning, design, and hands-on site work with regular project meetings and collaboration across teams.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree, 3–5 years of transport project experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and InRoads.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• ECSA registration or eligibility preferred.
• 3–5 years of civil engineering experience, focusing on transportation projects.
• Familiarity with road design principles and software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, InRoads) is essential.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in design and development of road, highway, and transportation projects.
• Conduct traffic studies, capacity analysis, and geometric design.
• Prepare drawings, specs, and reports using relevant software.
• Take part in site investigations and surveys to collect project data.
• Coordinate with project managers, senior engineers and stakeholders.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, codes and regulations.
• Assist in tender documentation and construction supervision.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure quality and adherence to design specifications.
