Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer with a Transportation Engineering focus to join its Polokwane team. You will design and implement transportation infrastructure, including roads and traffic systems, contributing to mobility and safety in Limpopo.

The role demands at least 5 years of experience, strong skills in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and traffic modeling, and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders to deliver high-quality projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Transportation Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation infrastructure design and project delivery.
• Proficiency in transportation design software (Civil 3D, AutoCAD, PTV Vissim, Synchro).
• Strong understanding of traffic engineering principles, geometric design, and road safety standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan transportation infrastructure projects, including road alignments, intersections, and traffic management systems.
• Conduct traffic studies, capacity analyses, and transportation modeling to inform design decisions.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports for road and transport projects.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant national and provincial transportation standards and policies.
• Coordinate with municipal planning departments, road authorities, and other relevant agencies.
• Oversee construction supervision for transportation projects, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications in Polokwane.
