Transport Administrator required in Parow, Cape Town.

Our client, a leading logistics company based in Parow Industria, is seeking a young, driven, and eager-to-learn Transport Administrator to join their dynamic team.
Full training will be provided on transport administration, load planning, driver and client communication, trip documentation, scheduling, and general operational support.
Weekly overtime will be required and will be compensated accordingly.
Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Afrikaans and English.
- Administrative, transport, logistics, or customer service experience will be an added advantage.
- A valid driver’s licence and own dependable transport are essential.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Comfortable working under pressure in a busy transport and logistics environment.
- Client-focused with professional communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly organised, dependable, punctual, and proactive.
- Flexible and willing to work overtime when required. Overtime will be paid.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the coordination and scheduling of daily container truck loads.
- Track planned trips and assist in ensuring that transport schedules are carried out according to plan.
- Keep clients informed of delivery progress, expected arrival times, delays, and changes to schedules.
- Handle customer queries professionally and ensure that outstanding issues are addressed promptly.
- Process, check, capture, and maintain accurate Proof of Delivery (POD) records.
- Assist with arranging vehicle servicing and routine maintenance, including following up on outstanding requirements.
- Assist in coordinating inspections and checks for refrigerated cargo, including fruit and other temperature-sensitive products.
- Monitor refrigerated consignments and report any potential temperature or cargo-related concerns to the relevant manager.
- Capture and maintain up-to-date transport and delivery information on internal systems.
- Liaise with drivers, clients, customers, and internal teams to ensure effective communication throughout the transport process.
- Keep transport documentation and records properly organised and up to date.
- Support the invoicing process by ensuring all required delivery and supporting documentation is available and accurate.
- Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to the transport and operations department.
- Carry out additional administrative and operational tasks as delegated by the Operations Manager or other relevant manager.
- Provide ongoing support to the wider operations team to help maintain efficient daily transport activities.
