Job summary

AJ Personnel is seeking a sales and business development professional to expand the transformer market across South Africa and neighboring countries. You will build and manage a pipeline for Wadeville and Heidelberg factories, while conducting market research and engaging potential clients.

The role requires experience in electrical industry sales, strong MS Office and CRM skills, and a valid driver’s license and passport.

Qualifications

• Matric is required; a National Diploma in Engineering is advantageous.
• Experience in sales and business development within electrical industry.
• Proficient with MS Office and CRM software.
• Valid driver’s license and passport.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the transformer market across South Africa and neighbouring countries.
• Build and manage a pipeline of sales opportunities for Wadeville & Heidelberg transformer factories.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, market needs, and growth areas (renewable, mining, utilities, municipalities, water).
• Support negotiation and close sales agreements with key clients.
• Provide monthly sales reports and forecasts to management.
• Minimum of one client visit with senior sales staff.
• Continuously update knowledge on transformer products, technology trends, and industry standards.
• Understand and stay current with the group’s portfolio to offer best solutions from full range of offerings.
• Assist clients in understanding technical specifications, applications, and benefits of transformer products.
• Align sales actions with sales objectives set out by management.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the transformer market across South Africa and neighbouring countries
• Build and manage a pipeline of sales opportunities, ensuring a steady flow of potential Clients and projects for the Wadeville & Heidelberg transformer factories
• Conduct market research and Competitor analysis to identify trends, market needs, and growth areas (renewable, mining, private, electrical utilities, municipalities, water, etc)
• Support negotiation and close sales agreements with key Clients
• Regularly update Management team on sales activities, progress on key opportunities, and forecasts in order to plan accordingly
• Provide monthly sales reports on market dynamics, sales performance, Competitor activities, and opportunity / pipeline projects
• Minimum of one Client visit, with senior Sales staff is essential
• Continuously update knowledge on transformer products, technology trends, and industry standards
• Understand and stay current with the Group’s complete portfolio of products and services, ensuring clients receive the best solutions from the full range of offerings
• Assist Clients in understanding the technical specifications, applications, and benefits of transformer products and related solutions
