Job summary

Cashbuild is seeking a Trainee Manager (Internal Applications Only) for one of its stores in the Eastern Cape region. The role supports the Store Manager in driving sales, customer service, stock control and daily operations to align with company strategy.

The ideal candidate has Grade 12, at least two years in retail management, strong accounting and HR skills, and the ability to lead under pressure while ensuring OHSA compliance and safe, efficient store performance.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with at least 2 years retail management experience.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Must have strong accounting skills.
• Must be able to work under pressure.
• Must be computer literate (Basic computer literacy).
• Must have strong leadership skills.
• Must have strong administrative skills.
• Must have sound knowledge of Health and Safety aspects in line with local OHSA legislation.
• Must have strong Human Resources skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager to protect and grow profitable market share.
• Assist the Store Manager to develop and implement a Store Business Plan aligned with company strategy.
• Grow and protect market share and achieve sales budgets by category.
• Assist with Customer Service strategy, audits and delivery service.
• Assist in asset control: stock, cash, fixed assets, and security requirements.
• Assist in Human Resources management, training, and succession planning.
• Ensure OHSA safety standards and store trading standards are maintained.
