Job summary

Tolcon Group in Cape Town seeks a proactive Dispatch/Control Centre Operator with strong call-centre experience to monitor incidents, coordinate on-road responses, and log activities accurately.

The ideal candidate has Grade 12, at least 3 years in a call centre, bilingual in English and another language, and excellent communication skills. The role requires resilience, multi-tasking, and reliable transport for shifting schedules.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 certificate is required.
• Minimum 3 years call-centre experience.
• Conversant in at least 2 languages, including English.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook & Internet).
• Assertive with good people skills.
• Able to cope with unusual work schedules and multi-task.

• Professional telephone etiquette and reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor and detect incidents within 3 minutes of occurrence.
• Accurate logging and verification of all detected incidents.
• Dissemination of information regarding active incidents.
• Dispatching of On Road Services Vehicles and coordination with response units.
• Monitor, log and report roadside and TMC malfunctions.
• Accurate and timely completion of KPI-related administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor and detect incidents within 3 minutes of their occurrence via the various detection methods.
• Accurate logging and verification of all detected incidents
• Dissemination of information regarding active incidents
• Dispatching of On Road Services Vehicles as well as Coordination with relevant response units during active incidents
• Monitor, record and report all roadside and TMC requirement malfunctions
• Accurate and timeous completion of all administrative functions related to KPI's.
