Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a specialized Information Security Analyst focused on Threat Intelligence to join our client in Sandton. You will identify, analyze, and report on current and emerging cyber threats to inform defensive strategies in a dynamic financial services environment, operating in a hybrid model.

Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing threat data, tracking threat actors and TTPs, producing executive reports, and integrating intelligence into security operations and risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years in threat intelligence or security analysis.
• Strong understanding of threat landscape, malware, and attack vectors.
• Experience with threat intelligence platforms and tools.
• Excellent analytical, research, and written communication skills.
• Experience with scripting or programming (Python) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze threat intelligence from multiple sources.
• Identify and track threat actors, campaigns, and TTPs.
• Develop threat profiles and provide timely alerts.
• Integrate threat intelligence into security operations and incident response.
• Produce detailed threat intelligence reports for technical and executive audiences.
• Collaborate with internal teams on threat landscape and defensive capabilities.
